Your scalp doesn’t need more.
Oil dissolves oil. Water can’t. A scalp clean at the root, and a head that feels lighter.
Nobody ever works the scalp — not in the shower, and rarely at the salon. The scalp lets go.
Five minutes before the wash, then one shampoo. Nothing left in.
Less is the luxury.
The idea
Every routine tells you to add.
A serum, a mask, a spray, a leave-in. Every one of them leaves something at the root. The more you put on, the more there is to take off.
And your scalp is skin — the same skin as your face, with hair on it. Your face gets five minutes a day. Your scalp gets shampoo, which is made for hair. Here is what that leaves behind.
Most of the lather goes to the lengths, and it is rinsed off quickly. The scalp gets the least of it.
Your scalp’s own oil and styling product are made to stay put, so a little is left at the root after every wash, and it builds.
Roots that feel coated and look flat soon after washing, and a little heavier every day.
Under the skin is a sheet of muscle and fascia that runs from brow to nape. It holds the day, and a scalp that has been holding shows in the face. Nobody ever works it — not in the shower, and rarely at the salon.
The Lift takes away instead of adding: a pre-wash cleansing oil and a tool for the five minutes before the wash. Apply the cleansing oil, and it dissolves what water cannot. Work it in with the tool, and the tool lifts it off — and the scalp lets go. Shampoo, and one wash carries it all away.
The map
Front to back, then each side. Always the same order.
Hairline to nape, over the crown. Pause at the hairline, the crown and the base of the skull.
Hairline above the temple, then above the ear, down behind it, into the hollow at the base of the skull.
The same, on the other side. A dot is a pause: hold with the center ball, then carry on.
The five minutes
Apply the cleansing oil to a dry scalp.
Work it in with the tool in small circles, hairline to nape, following the map. Pause at the dots.
Then each side, the same way.
One shampoo. About five minutes in all. Nothing left in.
The cleansing oil
The cleansing oil loosens it.
Oils, no water, worked into a dry scalp. Oil dissolves oil. Water can’t. Then it rinses out in one shampoo.

The cleansing oil, the tool and the card, in a cream box with the mark and THE LIFT on the lid. The bottle keeps the same frosted glass, with a satin copper collar and the mark on the glass. This is what Maison Isaire is being built toward.
